My sim has her room and i can t allow her boyfriend to get in unless i allow everyone.
Each floor is set up like an apartment with the doors locked to allow only certain sims in an apartment.
While door locking settings are usually honored in some circumstances they may be completely ignored such as a burglary a repo man visit or a confiscation made by the social worker.

If you own a community lot like a restaurant i know i could lock the doors as the owner and they stay locked when i go there as a customer.

Allowed sims should still be allowed to go through the locked door after closing and then starting up the game.

Lockable doors mod had an update after the sims team released a patch adding locked doors but it was missing a lot.
The sims 2 featured a download on a unofficial site that was a 5 lock bank door were a sim with a key could lock and unlock it but people without one couldent.
