Take take in between the manual open close and then trying to do it with the app.
Smartthings garage door sensor not working.
In looking at the works with smartthings page it seems that there isn t an opener that inherently connects to smartthings as there are only 2 add on devices that connect to it gocontrol and iris.
Is this the best route to go.
Its has been working for long time now but was wondering if there is a better setup i should have.
Check the wires ensure they are connected nicely and then open close manually and then check open close from the app.
All the sensors are within 30 40 feet of the hub i have tried repairing the sensors turned off hub for 15 minutes but noting seems to correct this issue.
Smartthings classic app only if you re using the multipurpose sensor on your garage door it may not be mounted properly.
It looks like my current garage door opener is failing and as i replace it i would like to get something that works with smartthings.
Mount the garage door sensor vertically so that when the garage door is vertical it will read closed when horizontal it will read open to mount the multipurpose sensor in the correct orientation.
I have changed the st multi sensor to a smartsense garage door multi sensor and created a virtual momentary switch that trigers the linear device.
The problem is sometimes the sensors don t seem to change status from open close.
I have been using the linear fs20z 1 zwave controller with a smartthings multisensor to control my garage door.
It is possible that through vibration the wire connection to the garage door opener may have worked loose over a year.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Make sure you have the flat larger face of the sensor mounted on the door vertically without the magnetic contact.
